Gears of War: Reloaded Beta Found on Steam

With the Gears of War: Reloaded remaster set to release soon, activity has been spotted on Steam indicating preparations beta testing of the game. As Reddit users (GamingLeaksAndRumors) discovered, yesterday a hidden build labeled "beta" appeared in the Steam database, which could indicate that a trial period is about to launch. There is no information yet on the content or timing, but such updates often precede the official announcement.

Gears of War: Reloaded Releases August 25 on PC, Xbox Series X|S and, for the first time in the series' history, on PlayStation 5, becoming a full-fledged multi-platform project. The game is a full remaster of the first part, developed by The Coalition, Sumo Interactive and Disbelief. The release includes all the content of the original, the Ultimate Edition, all multiplayer maps and modes, as well as the campaign and DLC.

The visual part has been significantly reworked: the game supports 4K resolution on all platforms, 60 FPS in single player campaign и up to 120 FPS in multiplayer, as well as technology HDR and VRR. One of the main features will be cross-platform multiplayer and unified progression system, which is especially important given its debut on PlayStation. Owners of the Ultimate Edition purchased before May 5 will receive a remaster free as part of an upgrade.
