A streamer walked 12,500 km in Minecraft to reach the Far Lands – it took 14 years.

A 14-year journey Ended: Popular streamer and YouTuber kurtjmac reached the legendary border of the Minecraft world — the so-called Far Lands. It began its journey in 2011 with Beta 1.7.3, the last version before a bug was fixed that caused sharp vertical distortions of the world at the edges of the map.

Throughout the whole journey he did not use cheats, teleportation or mods, but walked and broadcast every step on Twitch and YouTube as part of the project Far Lands or Bust (FLoB)At the same time, he raised money for charity, turning the adventure into a social initiative.

The finish has happened on Day 69 of Season 12 of FLoB-a-Thon, after 5 hours and 34 minutes of streaming, Kurtjmac reached the Far Lands, having covered a total of about 12,500 km — the distance from New York to Cape Town. This unprecedented achievement became not only a technical feat, but also a symbol perseverance and strength of the community, which supported him all these years.
