The S3 Graphics Chrome 540 GTX DisplayPort 256MB GDDR3 model is positioned by the developers as a competitor to solutions such as NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT/GTS and ATI Radeon HD 4350.

 

 

The graphics accelerator is equipped with 256 megabytes of GDDR3 video memory, which operates at a frequency of 800 MHz. Synchronously with it, the graphics processor operates at the same 800 MHz. The memory and card bus are 64-bit, so the manufacturer is forced to use faster GDDR3 memory instead of GDDR2 to ensure acceptable memory bandwidth. The Chrome 540 GTX supports DirecX 10.1 and OpenGL 3.0.
