Vindictus: Defying Fate Alpha Test Launches June 8th on Steam

Company Nexon Announces Alpha Testing of Vindictus: Defying Fate — a new action RPG in the Vindictus universe, focused on dynamic battles and a single-player campaign. Testing will be conducted exclusively through the Steam platform and will run from June 8 to June 17, 2025. Players will need an account and access to the client, which will become available closer to the start of the period.

The main feature of the current alpha will be expansion of the list of playable characters. To the already presented Lann and Fiona will be added Delia and Karok — two heroes with unique fighting styles. Delia specializes in heavy sword weapons and wide strikes, while Karok is a slow but powerful fighter who can interrupt enemy attacks and perform grab techniques. This gives players the opportunity to test out a variety of combat styles and combinations in PvP modes.

The developers emphasize that the alpha will include both PvE scenarios and competitive PvP, to test the balance, interface, combo mechanics and server stability. Players will also have access to single player campaign, which is a reworked introduction to the game's world that intersects with the mythological and heroic themes found in the original Vindictus.

Vindictus: Defying Fate is being developed by Unreal Engine 5 and offers a more modern visual component, a system of parries, rolls, power-ups and unique ultimate attacks for each character. The goal of the alpha is to collect as much feedback as possible on the combat system, controls and performance on different PC configurations. Nexon promised a detailed report at the end of the alpha, and the next stage of testing will be launched closer to the end of the year.

Portal RTX gets patch with DLSS 4, Multi-Frame Generation and RTX NRC - an upgrade for RTX 50

Almost three years after its release, Portal RTX continues to receive tech updates, cementing its status as a showcase for cutting-edge RTX features. The new patch, available since May 19, brought several major improvements aimed at owners of modern graphics cards GeForce RTX 5000 series.

The key innovation is DLSS 4 support with multi-frame generation (Multi-Frame Generation), which allows you to form up to four frames for each rendered, significantly increasing productivity. The developers note that in a number of scenes frame rate can increase up to 4 times, although this increases the response delay. MFG is configured separately through the graphics menu and is only available on GPU Blackwell generations.

Also added to the game RTX Neural Radiance Cache (NRC) technology — a neural network reflection and indirect lighting caching system that reduces the load on ray tracing. Thanks to a combination of AI algorithms and shader interpolation, NRC makes reflections and diffuse light more stable when the camera moves, eliminating jitter and visual noise. This feature is automatically enabled when full ray tracing is activated.

In addition, the update improves rendering stability, accelerates shader compilation and optimizes video memory usage. Textures now load with less delay, and game startup time has been significantly reduced. All changes are documented in the official note on the Portal RTX forum on Steam.

Portal RTX remains one of the most advanced demonstrations of RTX technology, and with the release of DLSS 4 it is getting a second life - especially for users with GPU RTX 5090 and RTX 5080.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat Enhanced Edition - New Remaster Screenshots and Release Details

Core Siege is designed for maximum frame rates, while Dual Front offers denser graphics and enhanced gameplay, but runs strictly at 60 FPS. Ubisoft also notes that when you enable ultra settings, you can select a quality mode that limits the frame rate for the sake of visuals. The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC gets DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation in patch 1.4

At NVIDIA's Computex 2025 presentation, they showed an improved version of DOOM: The Dark Ages with support for full RTX effects. Path tracing, DLSS 4, and NVIDIA Reflex technology will be available in June as part of a separate patch.

The main feature of the patch will be the full path tracing mode, which includes global illumination, realistic reflections, complex light scattering and shadows. The graphics in the game change significantly - this can be seen by comparing screenshots with Ray Tracing enabled and full-fledged Path Tracing: reflections are enhanced, light penetrates into the depths of scenes, and fire and light sources become physically accurate.

This creates the feeling of a real city, where each citizen acts autonomously. Transitions between worlds will occur instantly, including within the same map. Thus, Rockstar and Take-Two are preparing a technological leap in several directions for GTA 6. There is no confirmation of the use of these patents yet, but their content points to an ambitious goal - to create the most vivid, detailed and believable game world.

NVIDIA Announces DLSS 4 Support in Over 125 Games and Apps

NVIDIA has officially revealed an updated list of games with support DLSS-4, demonstrating it at the GeForce RTX booth at Computex 2025. Take-Two has revealed updated statistics for the series Borderlands in its latest financial report. As of spring 2025, the total circulation of all games in the franchise exceeded 93 million copies, making it one of the most successful titles in the publisher's portfolio. The news comes as the company prepares to release Borderlands 4, which is scheduled for 12 September 2025 years.

According to the documents Borderlands 3 has sold over 22 million copies, becoming the company's fastest-selling game. However, Borderlands 2 still has the best result, which has sold 30 million copies and remains the all-time best-selling game in Take-Two's history. This data is confirmed in 2K Games' investor presentation (page 16).

Borderlands 4 Will Be a Sequel With a New Planet Called Kairos, vertical locations and an emphasis on exploration. The developers have abandoned the mini-map in favor of a compass and updated the gameplay mechanics: now weapons are assembled from components from different manufacturers thanks to Licensed Parts system.

The game also introduces new Vault Hunters with deep customization and unique skills, and the humor, according to the team, will return to the style of Borderlands 2. The project's editorial team has been completely renewed, which promises "smart and accurate" dialogue.
