Spirit of the North 2 - PC performance graphics benchmarks of Graphics Cards and Processors
We have tested the released game Spirit of the North 2 on maximum graphics settings with GeForce RTX and Radeon RX series video cards. We also evaluated the performance and quality of the game's graphics during our tests.

Spirit of the North 2 — an atmospheric adventure made on the Unreal Engine with an emphasis on landscapes and natural effects. Spirit of the North 2 — a continuation of the atmospheric adventure game inspired by northern nature and mythology. Development of the game began after the success of the first part, and the team aimed to expand and deepen the gaming experience.
In the new game, players once again take on the role of a fox, but now with a new companion - a wise raven. The plot focuses on the search for the lost legendary guardians and their release from the captivity of the dark shaman Grimnir. The developers have paid special attention to creating rich lore and well-developed characters to strengthen the emotional connection with the player.
The development team aimed to create a more extensive and diverse world compared to the first part. They introduced new mechanics such as character customization, a rune system, and improved puzzles to give players more freedom and exploration.
The development took place in close collaboration with the player community, and the team actively listened to feedback to improve the gameplay and address the shortcomings of the previous part. This has resulted in a more balanced and engaging game that meets the expectations of fans.

Spirit of the North 2 offers impressive visuals that immerse players in an atmospheric and picturesque world. The game uses modern graphics technologies to create realistic and detailed locations.
Each area in the game is unique and filled with its own features: from dense forests to snow-capped mountain peaks and ancient ruins. The developers paid special attention to lighting and weather effects to enhance the atmosphere and convey the mood of each scene.
Character and environment animations are rendered with a high degree of realism, which contributes to immersion in the gameplay. The movements of the fox and the raven are smooth and natural, and their interaction with the surrounding world feels alive and organic.
Sound also plays an important role in creating atmosphere. Musical compositions and sounds of nature harmoniously complement the visuals, creating a holistic and exciting impression of the game.

QUALITY |
Minimum settings use stripped-down textures, disable complex lighting processing, and simplify shadows to basic sharp masks. Water reflections are limited to static maps, and vegetation loses detail and animation. Volumetric fog and diffused light are virtually absent, the atmosphere is preserved, but loses depth and realism. Distant landscape elements are quickly replaced by simplified models.
Maximum settings include high-quality materials, complex diffused light effects, soft dynamic shadows and accurate reflections on water surfaces. Grass and foliage animation is synchronized with the wind direction, dust and light particles add volume. Depth of field, color correction and dense fog make scenes expressive and visually rich - landscapes look cinematic and detailed both near and far.

All video cards were tested at maximum graphics quality using MSI Afterburner. The purpose of the test is to determine how video cards from different manufacturers behave under the same conditions. Below is a video of a test segment from the game:

In the video card test, the default resolution is 1920x1080; other resolutions are added and removed manually. You can also remove and add any positions of video cards. You can also select any of our test processors from the list in the drop-down menu, comparing its performance with the given video card tests (by default, the most productive solution is selected). The test is carried out on the most powerful CPU in this game and is scaled to other processors, taking into account their testing on NVIDIA and AMD video cards.

VIDEO MEMORY CONSUMPTION |
Testing of video memory consumed by the game was carried out by the program MSI Afterburner. The indicator was based on the results on video cards from AMD and NVIDIA with separate screen sizes 1920x1080, 2560x1440 and 3840x2160 with various anti-aliasing settings. By default, the graph displays the most current solutions. Other video cards are added and removed from the chart at the request of the reader.

Testing was carried out at a resolution of 1920x1080. In the processor test, you can remove or add any processor positions. You can also select any tested video card from the list in the drop-down menu, comparing its performance with the given processor test results (by default, the most productive solution from NVIDIA is selected). Testing takes place on the most powerful NVIDIA and AMD video cards and scales to low-end models.
