Review: Playability
After spending several months on consoles, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions has finally arrived on PC. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is a video game dedicated to the hero of the Marvel Comics universe, Spider-Man. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions contains four universes from the Multiverse (Marvel Comics), due to which the player will have to play as four “Spider-Man”, each of whom was voiced by famous actors: Christopher Daniel Barnes, Neil Patrick Harris, Dan Gilvezan and Josh Keaton.
As we said earlier, the plot will take us to four different worlds. The first one is Amazing Spider-Man, which is a classic Peter Parker story. The second world is darker - Spider-Man Noir. It is based on the dark times of the 30s-40s of the XX century, and in it you will often have to hide in the shadows and attack enemies from behind. The third world will take you to the distant future, where battles against evil take place in a huge metropolis with skyscrapers of unprecedented heights and flying cars. The Last World Starring Ultimate Spider-Man is a remake of the all-too-familiar classic story.
The plot of the game is connected with a unique artifact - the “Table of Order and Chaos”. When it is destroyed during a clash between Spider-Man and Mysterio, an imbalance occurs in the various Marvel universes. Madame Web turns to the four forms of Spider-Man to help her restore order.
After the artifact was destroyed, its 4 parts ended up in various universes, causing serious problems there. The four superheroes are informed that the villains in their universes have received enhanced abilities due to fragments of the table. Every villain who possesses it wants to defeat their world's Spider-Man. The heroes manage to easily obtain the first fragment of the table and give it to Madame Web. Meanwhile, Mysterio also finds part of the artifact, which gives him the opportunity to create real magic...
Each of the Spider-Mans has their own fighting technique that distinguishes them from each other:
- Classic Spider-Man uses a combination of melee combat and web hammer attacks, mixing melee and ranged combat.
- Noir's Spider-Man usually uses cunning and the black color of his suit to quietly defeat his enemies. When he is in the shadows, the screen turns black and white, indicating a place to hide. But when the player hits the light, the screen turns color.
- Spider-Man 2099 uses various acrobatic techniques, spider-sense and claws in close combat. This is his first appearance outside of the comics.
- Ultimate Spider-Man wears a black suit and uses Venom's abilities.
We invite you to evaluate part of the game walkthrough of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, where you can see for yourself the quality of this product:
Of course, it cannot be said that Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions will outshine the Hollywood blockbuster, but it is also impossible to deny that it was not a success. The developer managed to create a unique and exciting game plot that is not related to any film of the same name, which, in principle, allowed the game to achieve some success. So, dedicated to all Spider-Man fans...
Review: Game Graphics
Visually, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions came out as a very specific project. The developers divided into parts not only the plot component, but also the graphical one. Amazing Spider-Man and Ultimate Spider-Man are made in a cartoon graphic style, which allows the game to be more closely associated with the comics of the same name.
Spider-Man Noir is made in black and white and is very reminiscent of The Saboteur, released last year, especially since they convey the same time period. Spider-Man 2099 is out now made without any visual embellishment, and we can see “natural” game graphics. At this very moment it becomes clear that the well-known Unreal Engine 3 is involved here...
There is nothing supernatural in the graphics, but it is not necessary, since the visual component is quite suitable for the specifics of the game itself. Next we move directly to graphics tests.

All video cards were tested at maximum graphics quality by the Fraps program in the most resource-intensive part of the game. Less powerful video cards up to the level GeForce GTS 250 and Radeon HD 4830 tested based on the Core 2 Quad Q9550 processor, and more productive ones based on Core™ i7 processors.
Our video cards are tested in general in all separate screen sizes, and you can evaluate how your video card behaves relative to other modern solutions in almost all gaming separate screen sizes. Again, like all console games, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions also has an internal limit of 60 FPS.
Testing at maximum quality settings 1024x768
So, with a resolution of 1024x768 you will need at least a video card of this level like Radeon HD 5570 or GeForce 8800 GS and higher. But if we take into account the minimum FPS of 25 frames, then cnfyjdzncz Radeon HD 3870 or GeForce 8800 are recommended for the game Ultra.
Testing at maximum quality settings 1280x1024
When increasing the resolution to the level of 1280x1024, video cards of the Radeon HD 5670 or GeForce GT 240 level will be required. Recommended video cards can be considered Radeon HD 4830 or GeForce GTX 260 and higher.
Testing at maximum quality settings 1680x1050
At a resolution of 1680x1050, the required minimum is a video card of the Radeon HD 3870 or GeForce 8800 GT level. The recommended video cards this time are Radeon HD 5750 or GeForce GTX 260 and higher.
Testing at maximum quality settings 1920x1080
With an HD resolution of 1920x1080, the required minimum is a Radeon HD 4750 or 8800 GeForce GTX video card. The most optimal cards for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions should be considered video cards of such a level as the Radeon HD 4860 or GeForce GTX 275. Based on the purchase of a video card specifically for this game, then the Radeon HD 5770 or GeForce GTS 450 are currently the most preferable.
Conclusion: Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is quite a good slasher film that will not leave many fans of this genre indifferent. Only somewhat high requirements for the video system will upset some users who do not have “modern” video accelerators.
