RESIDENT EVIL 2 / BIOHAZARD RE:2 is a remake of the 1998 game of the same name, in the survival horror genre. Resident Evil 2 was released in 1998, and now one of the most famous games of all time returns to modern consoles in a completely new look.

Play separate campaigns as Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield in the new third-person mode. Journey into zombie-infested Raccoon City, recreated on the RE Engine, a Capcom exclusive. Horrific discoveries await not only new players, but also hardened fans, as the city is filled with puzzles, plot branches and areas!

GAME ENGINE

RE Engine is a game engine created for "all of Capcom's next generation games." Used by Capcom for its internal projects. The first game on this engine was Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, released on January 24, 2017. At the moment, two more games are being prepared for release in 2019 on this engine - a remake of Resident Evil 2 and Devil May Cry 2.

RE Engine uses several middleware solutions. The only solution that is reliably known is Audiokinetic Wwise, a cross-platform audio engine. The engine also uses subsurface scattering technology, which is used to render some objects, for example, human skin, anti-aliasing (FXAA + TAA), HDR.

All video cards were tested at maximum graphics quality using the Action! program. The purpose of the test is to determine how video cards from different manufacturers behave under the same conditions. Below is a video of the test segment:

A comfortable average FPS of 60 frames can be provided by solutions of the Radeon RX 470 or GeForce GTX 980 level.

Testing of video memory consumed by the game was carried out by the program MSI Afterburner. The indicator was based on the results on video cards from AMD and NVIDIA with separate screen sizes 1920x1080 and 2560x1440 with different anti-aliasing settings. By default, the graph displays the most current solutions. Other video cards are added and removed from the schedule at the request of the reader.

ZMEYso everything is stable there. Usually in other games in deserts FPS increases, but here something very strange. What exactly does it have to do with the day in full sun. at ultra it may be lost, at extreme it’s game.
