Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a sequel to the cult RPG from Warhorse Studios, which first captured the attention of gamers in 2018. Development of the second part began almost immediately after the success of the original game, which is not surprising, given its popularity and critical acclaim. The founder of the studio, Daniel Vavra, has repeatedly stated his ambitions to create a large-scale sequel. However, the creation process turned out to be quite difficult due to the need to maintain a balance between historical accuracy and new gameplay mechanics.

Maximum settings: At maximum settings, the game reveals its full potential. Full texture detailing creates a realistic environment - every element of buildings, armor and weapons is worked out to the smallest detail. Improved lighting adds depth to scenes, making shadows and reflections dynamic and realistic. Weather effects such as rain and fog look cinematic and affect the atmosphere of the gameplay.

In addition, maximum settings make the landscape rich and detailed, especially in wide panoramic views. High FPS on powerful systems provides a smooth and immersive experience. The difference between minimum and maximum settings is especially noticeable in battles, where the smallest details of armor and weapons emphasize the realism of what is happening.

Ultra setup:
On the Ultra-Graphics level "Kingdom Come: Deliverance II" reaches a new level of visual realism. Character and object models receive the highest possible anti-aliasing and high-resolution textures, which allows you to see the smallest details of equipment and the environment. Shadows become deeper and clearer, and lighting - even more natural and dynamic. Weather effects and special effects look impressive and give the gameplay a cinematic feel.

Experimental settings:
Experimental settings are intended for the most productive systems. Compared to Ultra, there are no fundamental changes here, but the detail of the models and the drawing distance are increased: you will be able to discern details on the most distant objects, be it trees or castles. In addition, additional experiments with lighting and effects allow the developers to test new rendering and optimization technologies, thanks to which the scenes look even more realistic with the corresponding power reserve of your PC.

The difference between Ultra and Experimental isn't big enough to radically change the experience of the game, so if your system can handle it confidently Ultra, the transition to Experimental will only be noticeable when looking closely at details at long distances.

В Kingdom Come: Deliverance II The choice between DLSS, FSR, and no upscaling depends on your system capabilities and gaming preferences. If your graphics card supports DLSS (relevant for NVIDIA RTX models), then this upscaling will be the best choice. Using artificial intelligence technologies, DLSS allows you to significantly improve performance while providing a clear and detailed picture, especially in the "Quality" mode. This makes DLSS the best option for those who want to maintain a balance between image quality and high frame rates.

FSR, AMD's upscaling technology, is more versatile, as it's available not only for AMD graphics cards, but also for NVIDIA. It can also significantly increase FPS, which is especially important for systems with fewer resources. However, image quality when using FSR can be slightly lower than with DLSS, especially in fast-paced scenes, where artifacts and loss of clarity can appear. However, for those whose systems do not support DLSS, FSR remains a worthy choice.

CryEngine, which is the basis of the project, once again confirms its status as one of the most technologically advanced engines, never ceasing to amaze with the quality of graphics and advanced capabilities. The transition to DirectX 12 significantly improved processor performance, allowing the game to use resources more efficiently. All this makes Kingdom Come: Deliverance II an example of how cutting-edge graphics technology and high performance can be successfully combined, setting a new standard for open-world RPGs.

The game currently uses a protection system Denuvo, but the developers have confirmed that it will be disabled by the time of the final release. This means that the final version will work even faster - so all that remains is to wait for our final testing to make sure of the high quality and performance of the release version!
