DEVELOPMENT HISTORY

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is a remaster of the original 2006 game developed by Capcom. The main challenge facing the developers was to update the visuals and adapt the game to modern consoles and PCs, while preserving the original spirit and chaos that fans loved so much about the first part. The game was developed using RE Engine, the Capcom engine that was also used for the recent remakes resident evilThis allowed us to significantly improve the graphics while retaining all the main elements of the original game.

DRDR 2024 09 19 05 36 29 076

The main challenge in developing the remaster was balancing between preserving the old mechanics and making necessary improvements for a modern experience. The Capcom team paid attention to player feedback and made many improvements in quality of life, which fixed many of the original's problems. For example, the controls and artificial intelligence of survivors were improved to make the process of rescuing them smoother and more predictable. This is an important update, as the AI in the original game often caused frustration among players.

DRDR 2024 09 19 05 36 40 496

Additionally, the developers have brought back content that was cut from the original early in development. Elements such as new zombie species, improved facial animations for characters, and additional weapons such as a rocket launcher that was not originally included in the 2006 release have been added. These changes help update the game while maintaining its authenticity and adding new tactical options for fighting the zombie hordes.

GRAPHICS

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster significantly updated the graphics of the original game. With the help of RE Engine, the developers managed to make the picture more detailed and modern. The remaster supports 4K resolution, allowing you to see the smallest details of the environment, including the mall decorations and the zombie models themselves. The lighting and shadows in the game have been reworked to give scenes a more atmospheric look. Particular attention has been paid to the facial expressions of the characters, making dialogue and dramatic moments more exciting.

DRDR 2024 09 19 05 40 58 512

Significant improvements include: adding ray tracing, which enhances the realism of the interaction of light and objects in the game world. This is especially noticeable in large scenes with many characters on screen, where dynamic lighting and shadows create a deep and tense atmosphere. The remaster also uses a more advanced particle rendering system, which makes destruction and effects such as explosions and fire even more spectacular.

DRDR 2024 09 19 05 41 13 336

The game also received improved textures and reworked character models, including the main character, Frank West. These updates help the game look more modern while still maintaining the unique visual style that players loved about the original. Additional details, such as new environments and shopping mall interiors, have also been added to give the game's world more depth.

GAME ENGINE

The remaster is based on RE Engine, which was adapted to create Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. This engine was not chosen by chance - it has already proven its effectiveness in other Capcom projects, such as remakes Resident Evil 2 и Resident Evil 3One of the key advantages of the RE Engine was its ability to handle huge open spaces and support a large number of objects on the screen at the same time without reducing performance.

DRDR 2024 09 19 05 43 50 899

One of the important aspects of the improvements was the introduction of an updated animation system, which made interactions with zombies and the surrounding world more fluid and realistic. Now characters react to attacks and player actions more naturally, which adds realism to what is happening. In addition, the AI of enemies and survivors has been reworked, which allows to avoid many of the problems that were in the original game. Survivors can now fight zombies more effectively and do not get into difficult situations so often, which makes it easier to save them.

DRDR 2024 09 19 05 46 34 962

In addition to AI and graphics improvements, the following have been added: new control options, adapted to modern standards. Players can choose between an updated control scheme and a classic one to preserve the spirit of the original. Controls have also become more intuitive thanks to updated camera settings and a targeting system, which makes the gameplay more comfortable.

DRDR 2024 09 19 05 53 38 885

In this way, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster uses modern technology to update the classic experience, preserving all the elements of the original that made the game so loved, but making it accessible and fun for a new generation of players.

DIFFERENT QUALITY MODES

Minimum settings

At minimum graphics settings Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster offers simplified textures, minimal lighting and shadows, and limited object draw distance. The game will remain playable, but the immersion may be somewhat reduced due to the reduced quality of visual effects. This ensures smooth gameplay on systems with minimal specifications.

Maximum settings

At maximum graphics settings, the game reveals its full visual potential. High-quality textures, dynamic lighting, and realistic shadows create a detailed picture of the game world. Visual effects such as destruction, explosions, and weather phenomena look much more impressive. Support for 4K resolution at 60 frames per second makes the gameplay smoother and more cinematic, adding depth and richness to scenes.
