ABOUT THE FEATURES OF THIS REVIEW

Logitech-New-G-series-Peripherals-for-PC-Gaming

This article is a new direction for our site and in this review we will try to find out what the fall of 2012 has in store for modern video cards - does it make sense for PC players to hope for something and expect a miracle in the hottest time of the year for gamers. In this article, we have selected the most promising games that will be of most interest to the PC community this year. In addition to general information about the game, we tried to find data on the graphical delights of future games, that is, for the sake of which our readers will upgrade their gaming horses with new video cards.

In addition to general information about the game, we tried to predict what system requirements certain projects will have for modern PCs. These requirements are not approximate to reality and are based on our observation of the gaming market and our many years of experience. We invite all our readers to read this article and join the discussion based on our considerations. To some extent, this review is a preview of the system requirements for upcoming games.

Borderlands 2 – September 18

borderlands 2_wallpaper

Borderlands 2 builds on the same gameplay elements as its predecessor. It is a first-person shooter that incorporates RPG-style character development, leading Gearbox to call the game an "RPG shooter." At the beginning of the game, the player can choose one of four characters, each of which has a unique skill and affinity for a particular type of weapon.

The PC version of Borderlands 2 will have its own features that are sometimes impossible on consoles - from graphics to various peripheral features. Gearbox's Randy Pitchford said in an interview: "We develop games on the PC. Even our console development tools are connected to the PC. One of the big lessons we learned from the first Borderlands was that PC players expect more from the game than console gamers." “And in the case of Borderlands 2, we will not lose face. Just like the original, Borderlands 2 on PC will look much better than on consoles. But not only this is important, the graphics quickly fade into the background, and some things appear more clearly What's more important is the details of the product."

The game will be based on Unreal Engine 3. Nvidia this time contributed to the graphics and physics technologies in the PC version of Borderlands 2. The game will support PhysX technology that adds processing of a large number of particles and various environmental debris. Various creatures will spit liquid consisting of interactive particles, and sparks and small debris will make the explosions more impressive. But do not forget that in addition to video cards, the CPU also plays a significant role in PhysX processing, therefore, most likely, at least 4 computing cores will be required. It is not yet known whether physics acceleration will be allowed with the resources of a single CPU.

Dishonored is a first-person stealth-action/RPG developed by the French company Arkane Studios. The game's main designers are studio founder Rafael Calantonio and Harvey Smith, who worked on Thief: Deadly Shadows and Deus Ex. Also invited to participate in the development was Viktor Antonov (Half-Life 2, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic), who had previously collaborated with Arkane Studios on several occasions. The game is scheduled to be released on October 12, 2012.

In an interview with journalists from PC Gamer, Rafael Colantonio said that the PC version of Dishonored will be decorated with its own unique interface and other related things like an unshakable 60 frames per second, the ability to remove visual elements of the HUD and assign hotkeys. PC owners will not receive a cheap port from consoles, but a full-fledged version of the game that does not look like a stump that sailed from overseas.

Game Dishonored will also be based on Unreal Engine 3, but what is most surprising is that Windows XP is not supported. The developers previously issued system requirements for the game, where, according to them, the minimum requirement is a dual-core processor with a frequency of 3 GHz, 4 GB of RAM and a video card of the GeForce GTX 460 or Radeon HD 5850 level. A quad-core processor of 2,4 GHz, 4 GB of RAM is added to the recommended configuration and 768 MB of memory on the video card instead of 512. Let's try to voice our expected system requirements:

Medal of Honor: Warfighter is a first-person shooter computer game developed by Danger Close, a studio owned by American publisher and game developer Electronic Arts. The game is scheduled for release on October 23, 2012. Medal of Honor: Warfighter is part of the game series of the same name and a continuation of the game Medal of Honor, which was released in 2010 and was a restart of the entire series of games.

This time, both the single-player campaign and the multiplayer game are being developed by the Danger Close studio; EA DICE was not involved in the development. However, Medal of Honor: Warfighter uses EA DICE's Frostbite 2 game engine. Frostbite 2.0 was developed by DICE almost from scratch. Let us remind you that Frostbite 2.0 was originally created to work with DirectX 11, but DirectX 10 is also supported. DirectX 9 is not supported, so Windows XP is not suitable for the game. Particular attention from the developers was paid to DirectX 11 effects, improved character animation and advanced physics effects.

We have already tested the alpha version before We have previously tested the alpha version of Medal of Honor: Warfighter, so we can say with 100% confidence that the system requirements of the game will be identical to Battlefield 3:

In an interview, a representative of the development studio Treyarch announced that Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 will use the technologies "HDR lighting", "Bounce lighting" and "Self-shadowing", which, in turn, are part of the software DirectX 11. At the same time, one of the main priorities in working with graphics will be the task of achieving a comfortable 60 FPS for the game. Thus, the studio, according to Treyarch, this idea will take the Call Of Duty series to a new modern level of display of graphic content.

The PC version of the game is created separately from the console version. To create the computer version, Treyarch created a separate team; versions for the computer and consoles are created in parallel. Below we have provided the estimated system requirements for the game:

Hitman: Absolution is the first game to use the Glacier 2 game engine, the latest iteration of the Glacier engine constantly being developed and improved by IO Interactive. Even before the official announcement of the game, Daniel Ben-Noon, an artist from IO Interactive, said that Glacier 2 will be able to compete with the most famous gaming technologies on the market.

From time to time in Hitman: Absolution you will have to literally blend into the crowd in order to remain unnoticed. To implement this feature, the game creators have developed a special Crowd-Technology technology. Up to 1200 people per frame will be implemented, while the developers promise that all these people will adequately react to the actions of the main character. PC version of the game Hitman: Absolution will also support the functions DirectX 11.

Assassin's Creed III on PC will support DX11. But that's not all. It was also announced that we will be provided with high-resolution textures. Ubisoft also reported that another team is developing AC3 for PC, and they are not just making a banal port, but are simultaneously creating a game. Let's hope that the developers' adaptation for PC will be at a fairly high level, unlike Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, whose shortcomings were corrected long after the game's release...

Far Cry November 3 - 29

FC3 h1

Far Cry 3 is a computer game in the genre of first-person shooter, the third game in the series of games of the same name. "Far Cry 3" is being developed for IBM PC-compatible computers (running operating systems of the Microsoft Windows family) and game consoles Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 by three studios that are part of Ubisoft: Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Shanghai and Ubisoft Massive. Official publisher "Far Cry 3" is also a Ubisoft company. The release date is scheduled for 2012. The game will use an updated version of the Dunia Engine, which was used in "Far Cry 2. "

far-cry-3-preview-1 Far Cry 3

Far Cry 3 will look better on PC than on consoles. Unlike Electronic Arts and the developers of the third part of Battlefield, Ubisoft Montreal does not hide the fact that at the moment personal computers are of more interest to the studio than consoles. All demos Far Cry 3 are “cut” from the PC version, but only so that in the future it will act as a guide for its console sisters. “There are things that neither the PlayStation 3 nor the Xbox 360 can do. However, not all gamers have powerful computers at home, so we will do everything possible to bridge the gap between platforms.”

Far Cry 3 will support advanced graphics functionality  DirectX 11, so we think the open world and hyper-realistic graphics will put serious pressure on modern hardware:

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ASSUME BY GAMEGPU "Far Cry 3

Taking into account the low limitations, most likely never, although if AMD really wants to see the 7990 in our tests, then everything can be...
oh dreams...
Why did he give in to you - these multi-chips are of no use
