HGC - standard for monitors and video adapters for IBM PC

It supports high-resolution text mode and one graphics mode. The video adapter was connected to a monochrome (green, light brown or, quite rarely, black and white) monitor.

In text mode, 25 lines of text of 80 characters per line were displayed on the screen. This mode was compatible with the MDA standard. The resolution in graphic mode is 720*348 pixels.
