According to the developer, Video games cannot be measured mathematically, and recognition from players always remains subjective. The team does not set the goal of "beating" The Witcher 3, but is focused on create an honest sequel, which will develop the ideas laid down in the previous games, but at the same time will not repeat them literally.

"We want to find a healthy balance between new approaches and respect for the original"We're not trying to outdo the past," Weber said. "We just want to make something that appeals to people who already love this universe."

Developers use same design philosophies, as before, but at the same time trying to introduce new mechanics and fresh ideas. The Witcher 4 will have both elements of evolution and familiar features, allowing to preserve the atmosphere of the series.

Visually, the project promises a serious leap. The technical demonstration shown earlier was impressive high NPC density and the level of elaboration of the environment. CD Projekt RED places emphasis on console focus and next-gen potential, so The Witcher 4 will strive to surprise first and foremost with its graphics and a vibrant, rich world.
