The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered May Be Released Next Week — Screenshots Leak Online

Oblivion 1

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered — this is the name under which, according to a leak on the Virtuos website, the remake of the legendary RPG from Bethesda will be released. The project, which had long been a rumor, received official screenshots and comparisons with the original, published on the developer's portal. The visual improvements are obvious: reworked textures, lighting and environments, and the remake itself is reportedly being created on engine Unreal Engine 5.

Insider Jeff Grubb, who has previously confirmed exact release dates on multiple occasions, claims that the release will take place next week. The exact date has not yet been announced, but according to a second reliable source, NateTheHate, the release is scheduled for 21 April. In this case, the game can be released without prior announcement - the so-called shadow drop, when the product becomes available immediately after being shown.

Bethesda has yet to officially confirm the remake, although it was mentioned in FTC filings in 2023 as part of Microsoft's internal plans. Since then, the game is believed to have evolved from a simple remaster to a full-fledged remake. In addition to graphical improvements, it is expected to include changes in gameplay.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is expected to be available on PC and next-gen consoles. It is one of the most anticipated games of the spring, especially for fans of classic RPGs.
