SILENT HILL f: A temporary workaround for the RTX 5090 crash has been found.

SILENT HILL f did not launch on RTX 5090 graphics cards. — the game crashed immediately after the start, when the first cutscene was launched. We have encountered this problem personally.Similar complaints are being posted en masse on the Steam forum, where RTX 5090 owners describe the same symptoms: an instant crash with an error Unreal Engine 5.

Initially we assumed that the problem was related to possible defect of our RTX 5090, as similar graphical artifacts and black bars have previously appeared in METAL GEAR SOLID D: SNAKE EATER and other modern games on Unreal Engine 5. However, it is now obvious that we are talking about system incompatibility of the RTX 5090 architecture with UE5, since the game runs reliably on lower-end RTX 50 series models.

We managed bypass the failure manuallyWe have temporarily disabled Windows Features Hardware accelerated GPU scheduling и Optimizations for windowed games, rebooted the system, and launched SILENT HILL f. The game launched without crashing. After that, we reset the settings, and SILENT HILL f continued to run.

At the moment, this is the only method that has worked for us. We are awaiting a patch from the developers or NVIDIA driver updates that will resolve this conflict.

This method worked for us – perhaps it will work for you too.
