Fallout 3 Remastered Coming After Oblivion Remastered
After the release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, Bethesda fans' attention has shifted to a possible re-release Fallout 3. Information about development remasters of these games first appeared in Microsoft documents several years ago. Now that one of the projects has become a reality, players are expecting and official confirmation second.
Fallout 3 Remastered is rumored to be being worked on by Virtuos, the studio that also worked on the Oblivion remaster. Moreover, the designer of the original Fallout 3, Bruce Nesmith, said in a recent interview that the studio may radically rework shooting, which was criticized by fans. According to him, this mechanic was already significantly improved in Fallout 4, and it is logical to expect that similar changes will appear in the remaster.
Nesmith stressed that if a remaster is being developed, it should not just refresh the visuals, but also fix key mechanics. Improved shooting, physical reactions to damage, updated animations and improved sound effects are expected. All this could turn Fallout 3 Remastered into a full-fledged modernization of the cult RPG.
However, the project has not yet been officially confirmed. According to insiders, it is indeed in development, but a full release could be years away. While Bethesda remains silent, fans can only keep an eye on the news and hope that the success of Oblivion Remastered will speed up the announcement of Fallout 3.
