God of War: Ragnarök — Controversial Yggdrasil Location Fixed in Patch 4
Recent patch 4 for God of War: Ragnarok fixed an issue with one of the most talked about test locations - Yggdrasil. Previously, this section had low performance indicators, where FPS on NVIDIA cards was a failure and, for example, on a system with an RTX 4090 varied from 68 to 78 FPS in 4K resolution. This caused a lot of discussion among the community of players and testers.
With the release of the patch, the situation has changed dramatically: now in the same location with the same settings on the RTX map, FPS reaches 130 - 140Below is our recorded video:
As for the other test area, Svartalfheim, then it remains relevant. FPS in this location was stable at the level 83-90 FPS before the patch, and after the update nothing has changed, which confirms the stability of performance in this area of the game.
So, not only did Patch 4 fix the issues in Yggdrasil, but also retained the previous results in Svartalfheim, leaving testing at this location as informative as possible.
