F1 25 to Get Path Tracing, LIDAR Track Scanning, and NVIDIA Audio2Face Technology - Released May 30

Codemasters has announced that the upcoming F1 25 replenish exclusive list of games with the support path tracing. As in the cases with Cyberpunk 2077, Alan Wake 2 and Black Myth: Wukong, the function will be available only on PC and will become part of the graphical settings Ultra Max.

According to the developers, path tracing will simulate every ray of light, including reflections from secondary objects, indirect lighting and complex re-reflections. This will ensure the most realistic work of light - whether it is a night race under the lights of Bahrain or a sunset section of the track in Baku. Codemasters calls this level of lighting the most realistic in series.

In addition, F1 25 will receive significant improvements in other visual aspects: reworked tone map and light balance, improved display of weather effects, reworked track surface shader. Now visible on asphalt tire marks, wheel locks, and the physical behavior of the track takes into account data from real competitions.

F1 25 will be the first part of the series with LIDAR scanning of routes, which makes the trees and environment (including the cherry blossoms in Suzuka) look and be positioned as accurately as possible. The game will also feature a technology NVIDIA Audio2Face, improving facial expressions of characters in the Career and Braking Point story modes.

Coming to PS5 Pro split screen at 60 FPS. The game will be released May 30 on PC and consolesSystem requirements for path tracing have not yet been announced.
