Capcom: Over 50% of Game Sales Came from PC in the First Half of 2024
According to the latest financial report Capcom, more 50% games sold in the first half of the year 2024 years came to PC. This highlights the growing importance of this platform in the company's strategies, especially given the decline in overall sales by 25% and operating profit on 39% compared to last year. The reason for this is that in the first half of the fiscal year, Capcom released mainly minor games.
Despite the fall, Capcom confident of meeting full-year guidance thanks to strong launch Monster Hunter Wilds in the second half of the year. During this period, 20,025 million copies games, of which 54% accounted for PC, indicating a decline in the share of console sales from 51% to 40%.
