Assassin’s Creed Shadows received 82 points on Metacritic

Gaming publications published first reviews on Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and critics are already calling it the best part series over the last decade. The average score on Metacritic was 82 of 100 on the basis of 50 reviews.

Journalists note that the developers have abandoned excessive role-playing mechanics, returning to stealth and deep character development. In the spotlight - two heroes with different play styles: Naoe и Yasuke.

Naoe fits in perfectly classic stealth gameplayWhereas Yasuke bets on forceful attacks and open confrontation. However, many critics said that playing as Naoe turned out more interesting, since its mechanics are more reminiscent of classical of Assassin's Creed.

One of the minuses reviewers named Knowledge system, which affects character development, but does side quests routine. However, many compare Shadows с BC II и Black Flag, considering her the best representative of the series in recent years.
