Second Vampyr Dev Diary
Dontnod Entertainment has released the second video of the work diaries of the role-playing game Vampyr, which is dedicated to the city and the process of creating the soundtrack. We are shown four areas of London (Whitechapel, East End Docks, Hospital and West End), each with special layers of citizens - some prospering, others drowning in poverty and disease. Their fate can be decided by the main character.
-Whitechapel is a refuge for emigrants.
-The East End is home to the poorest sections of society, filled with gangs.
-Hospital – where Jonathan Reed fought the Spanish flu, here you can communicate with colleagues and patients. Or kill everyone.
-West End is an affluent area with a beautiful life.
Composer Olivier Derivière tried to embody the dark atmosphere of the game in his music. Particularly noteworthy is the work of cellist Eric-Marie Couturier from the Parisian musical group InterContemporain. The game will be released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2018.
