Leak Reveals New Power Profiles for Intel Core Ultra 200

Recent leak from MSI, which presented details of the next-generation platforms from Intel и AMD. This was the first time that information about the processors' performance was confirmed. Ryzen 9000X3D, and now new power profiles have been revealed for Intel Core Ultra 200.

Presentation MSI showed three power profiles for Arrow Lake-S: Default, Economical performance и Extreme. The last profile is only available for processors Core Ultra 9K and voids the warranty upon activation. Processors Core Ultra 5K have a standard profile with indicators 125W PL1 и 125W PL2, which can be increased to 159w in Performance mode. Models Core Ultra 7K offer 125W / 177W (Default) and before 250w (Performance). Top processors Core Ultra 9K can work with profiles 250W / 295W (Extreme), which significantly increases energy consumption.

Interestingly, the leak also mentions processors Arrow Lake-S Refresh, although there were rumors about their cancellation earlier. Perhaps, MSI used old slides, or Intel is still considering this option.

MSI also showed a comparison of power consumption and temperature. For example, Core Ultra 9 285K with unlimited power uses less energy and stays cooler than Core i9-14900K under similar conditions.
