RTX 5090D gets server version with turbine cooling
They started to appear in China remade versions video NVIDIA RTX 5090, called RTX 5090D. They are equipped turbine cooling (blower) and are not aimed at gamers, but at the market servers and AI systems. Such modifications follow the path of the RTX 3090 and 4090, which were also adapted to the needs of data centers and computing clusters.
The novelty uses full chip GB202 and equipped 32 GB GDDR7 video memory, like the original RTX 5090. However, instead of massive multi-fan cooling systems, it has one turbine fan, which blows hot air directly outside the case. This format allows you to tightly install several video cards in a rack and cool them with minimal space and ventilation.
Technicians in China are manually extracting chips and memory from regular RTX 5090s and transferring them to new server PCB boards. The latter are distinguished by a simpler design, and the power connector is located on the back of the card, which simplifies the assembly of servers with several GPU.
