NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER Production Discontinued Ahead of RTX 5080 Launch
Company NVIDIA is preparing to launch the next generation of graphics cards RTX 50 series, and against the backdrop of these events, the production and supply of high-performance RTX GeForce 4080 SUPER will be terminated. According to leaks from Board Channels, production RTX 4080 SUPER will end in October, and deliveries to vendors will cease in November.
This decision is in line with the plan. NVIDIA to release warehouse stocks before release RTX 5090 и RTX 5080, which will replace existing models. The company had previously stopped production and deliveries RTX 4090 и RTX 4090D, which caused a shortage of these models on the European market, and their prices increased significantly.
It is reported that simultaneously with the release RTX 5090 will be announced and RTX 5080, which was confirmed by sources from the manufacturers. These new solutions are expected to be aimed at ultra-enthusiasts, replacing existing ones RTX 4090 и RTX 4080 SUPER, which was released in early 2024 as an update to the original RTX 4080.
The process of stopping production and supply is as follows:
- RTX 4090/4090D (production completed in September, deliveries completed in October)
- RTX 4080 SUPER (production will end in October, deliveries will end in November)
