First benchmarks S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl

NVIDIA has published official performance tests for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, which comes out on November 20. Tests were conducted on GeForce RTX 40-series graphics cards with maximum graphics settings at separate screen resolutions of 4K, 1440p and 1080p. Turning on DLSS-3 significantly improves performance, especially at 4K. Here are the results for each graphics card model:

Tests at 4K resolution (3840x2160):

  • RTX 4090: 123,9 FPS with DLSS 3 and 52,4 FPS without DLSS.
  • RTX 4080 Super: 112,7 FPS with DLSS 3 and 47,1 FPS without DLSS.
  • RTX 4070 Ti Super: 100,2 FPS with DLSS 3 and 40,9 FPS without DLSS.
  • RTX 4070 Super: 87 FPS with DLSS 3 and 34,7 FPS without DLSS.
  • RTX 4070: 73,6 FPS with DLSS 3 and 31,1 FPS without DLSS.

Tests at 1440p resolution (2560x1440):

  • RTX 4090: 145 FPS with DLSS 3 and 74,8 FPS without DLSS.
  • RTX 4080 Super: 135,7 FPS with DLSS 3 and 73,7 FPS without DLSS.
  • RTX 4070 Ti Super: 127,4 FPS with DLSS 3 and 66,3 FPS without DLSS.
  • RTX 4070 Super: 114,6 FPS with DLSS 3 and 58,8 FPS without DLSS.
  • RTX 4070: 100,7 FPS with DLSS 3 and 52 FPS without DLSS.
  • RTX 4060 Ti: 72,9 FPS with DLSS 3 and 34,4 FPS without DLSS.

Tests at 1080p resolution (1920x1080):

  • RTX 4090: 165,9 FPS with DLSS 3 and 85,5 FPS without DLSS.
  • RTX 4080 Super: 161,6 FPS with DLSS 3 and 84,1 FPS without DLSS.
  • RTX 4070 Ti Super: 152,2 FPS with DLSS 3 and 82,8 FPS without DLSS.
  • RTX 4070 Super: 141,7 FPS with DLSS 3 and 76,3 FPS without DLSS.
  • RTX 4070: 125,2 FPS with DLSS 3 and 67,8 FPS without DLSS.
  • RTX 4060 Ti: 96,2 FPS with DLSS 3 and 47,2 FPS without DLSS.
  • RTX 4060: 85,5 FPS with DLSS 3 and 43,2 FPS without DLSS.

Overall performance has been improved thanks to DLSS-3, but without it, video cards show mediocre results at high separate screen resolutions.
