NVIDIA Temporarily Cuts RTX 4060 Ti Shipments Amid Laptop Priority
Company NVIDIA decided to temporarily suspend orders for graphics processors GeForce RTX 4060 Ti for desktop PCs for the entire month of October. The move is due to the need to fill large orders for laptops with the same chip for the upcoming sale 11.11 in China, which is one of the most significant in the Asian market.
According to the publication Read, NVIDIA focuses on chip supplies AD106 for laptops that will be the hit of the upcoming promotion. This will result in a temporary reduction in RTX 4060 Ti desktop stock in markets, which may impact GPU availability until mid-November.
Despite this, the RTX 4060 Ti is currently available for sale starting at $350 for the 8GB model and $400 for the 16GB version. GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, according to Steam Hardware Survey, is the fourth most popular video card and is used in approximately 3,66% of systems.
The shortage is expected to last until mid-November, when NVIDIA will be able to reallocate resources between markets.
