NVIDIA RTX 5090 is already being sold at speculative prices
Amid the expected launch of the video card NVIDIA RTX 5090 pre-order ads started appearing inflated pricesSome sellers set prices up to $7,000, more than three times the estimated retail price. Similar offers have already been spotted on sites like eBay, often accompanied by promises "exclusive access" to new GPU.
This practice is not new. Before the launch of previous NVIDIA flagships, there were also "pre-order campaigns", aimed at creating excitement among buyers. Speculative offers often use official images of graphics cards, such as the Founders Edition or ASUS ROG Astral, to look more credible.
Experts warn that such adverts often turn out to be fraud. Even if the buyer receives the ordered product, the delivery can be significantly delayed. NVIDIA has already confirmed that the RTX 5090 will be available at launch limited availability, which fuels interest and creates fertile ground for speculation.
The company is trying to counteract the situation by tightening control over retail partners. However, as practice shows, the first "legitimate" Sales are still accompanied by inflated prices due to limited supplies.
