NVIDIA Doesn't Back Down: Jensen Huang Urgently Visits China After H20 Ban

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang unexpectedly visited China all day after the Trump administration introduced new restrictions on the supply of H20 AI accelerators, confirming the critical importance of the Chinese market for the company. The visit was an emergency one, and CCTV reported that Huang met with Ren Hongbin, head of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

"We grew up in China. China has been watching us grow for 30 years. This is very important market for us," Jensen Huang said. This confirms that NVIDIA has no intention of winding down its business in China, despite the restrictions imposed. It is estimated that the company could earn on H20 alone up to $16 billion in China, given the high demand for AI accelerators amid the local boom in neural networks.

Under new export restrictions, NVIDIA can no longer sell H20 to China. The company has already stopped accepting new ordersHuang's visit was accompanied by DeepSeek founder Liang Wenfeng, which is one of Team Green's top corporate clients in China. Judging by all, NVIDIA is preparing obkhodnoe reshenie - a new version of the accelerator that meets new US requirements.

Meanwhile, there are already competitors on the horizon: Huawei is developing AI clusters that can outperform NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 systemsTherefore, Huang's company urgently needs to offer an alternative in order not to lose the key region.
