New NVIDIA Driver 576.02 Gives RTX 5080 a Significant Performance Boost — Up to 5% in 3DMark
Reddit user Techne619 shared the results productive leap video NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 after installing a new driver GeForce Game Ready 576.02 WHQL. Comparison of results in the test 3DMark Steel Nomad DX12 showed a noticeable increase, which may indicate that the company is still held some of the power RTX 5000 series.
Before installing the RTX 5080 driver, it was gaining 8832 points with an average frame rate of 88,33 frames per second. After the update, the result increased to 9215 points with an average frequency of 92,16 FPS - the increase was about 4,3%. The user used overclocking by +375 MHz for the core and +750 MHz for the memory, but specified that the frequencies did not change between tests, which means the issue is precisely in the driver update.
It is important to note that NVIDIA official documents do not mention performance gains in Steel Nomad or other benchmarks, meaning this could be a side effect of code fixes or optimizations in the driver aimed at eliminating bugs.
It remains to wait for mass testing on other systems to confirm the trend. But already now the driver update can be called a real win for RTX 5080 owners.
