New Intel Arc Battlemage graphics card with Xe2 architecture undergoes testing before launch

Intel is actively preparing to launch a new line of Arc Battlemage video cards based on the Xe2 architecture. Recently, a new video card in this series was spotted in GFX DRM magazine, which confirmed some of its characteristics. According to the leak found in the log, one of the video cards uses the device ID "e20b" and is running version 14.01 of the display. This sample was identified as part of the Xe2-HPG and contains up to 14 Xe2 cores, corresponding to the BMG-G21 chip.

The maximum configuration of the BMG-G21 is expected to include 16 Xe2 cores. The frequencies listed in the log are 1500 MHz and 1800 MHz, which are likely the base and boost frequencies. The video card is equipped with 12 GB of GDDR6 video memory with a 192-bit bus and a total bandwidth of 456 GB/s.

These new video cards promise significant performance improvements, up to 50% more than their predecessor, as well as new ray tracing and XMX engines, making them an exciting product expected by the end of 2024. Intel is planning a special event to announce them, although the exact timing has not yet been confirmed.
