Nintendo introduced Switch 2

After months of rumors and anticipation, Nintendo has officially announced Switch 2 in a new trailer. The video shows off the console's upgrades, including a larger screen, redesigned Joy-Con controllers, and a number of other changes. However, the trailer doesn't reveal any details about upcoming games, other than hinting at a new Mario Kart title that has yet to be officially confirmed.

One of the key features of the Switch 2 will be backward compatibility. The console will support both physical and digital games from the original Nintendo Switch, ensuring a smooth transition for owners of the previous version. However, a specific release date has not yet been announced: Nintendo has only indicated a general release window — 2025 year. However, on April 2nd it will take place Nintendo Direct, where the company will tell more about the new system.

Demonstrations will take place in major cities around the world, including New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Tokyo, and more. Ticket registration, only available through Nintendo Account, begins tomorrow. 17 January.
