Intel expands its Arc discrete GPU lineup to the automotive market with the new Arc A760A

Intel has announced the expansion of its Arc line of discrete GPUs into the automotive market with the introduction of a new product, the Arc A760A. This GPU, specifically designed for use in automotive systems, was announced at the AI ​​Cockpit Innovation Experience event in China.

Intel Automotive Vice President and General Manager Jack Weast said Intel is committed to bringing AI capabilities to devices of all sizes and shapes, and the new Arc A760A will be the company's first discrete GPU designed for cars.

Arc A760A is built on the ACM-G10 core, has 28 Xe cores, 28 ray tracing cores and 448 vector engines. The GPU is equipped with 16GB of GDDR6 memory and supports multiple displays and cameras, making it ideal for use in driver assistance and in-vehicle entertainment systems. With built-in AI capabilities and support for modern graphics technologies such as OpenGL, Vulkan and ray tracing, the Arc A760A promises to improve the visual experience and safety of drivers.

Intel also emphasized that China will be a key market for testing and developing these technologies, thanks to the rapid development of electric vehicles and technological progress in the country.
